Tempered Glass
Characteristics
4 - 6times stronger than unprocessed glass
Undergoes a 650°C - 700°C geat treatments
Upon breakage, the glass will breaks into small pieces that are not sharp thus preventing major injuries
Better resistance to thermal stress
This is also known as safely glass
Laminated Glass
Characteristics
Created by 2 or more pieces of glass are bonded together with plastic (PVB) interlayer
The PVB keeps the pieces of glass intact when it's broken
Produces a 'Spider-web' effect upon breakage
This comes in clear, translucent, polar white and coloured PVB
This process is applied after tempering to remove 98% +/- the glass impurties so to reduce the risk of spontaneous breakages in tempered glass after installation.
